Side arms accommodate total of 8 or 16 standard volumetric or Erlenmeyer flasks up to 500 ml. Also holds bottles, separatory funnels, filter capsules and test tubes, up to 50 mm in diameter. Circuit breaker mounted on front panel provides electronic protection. Mechanical timer can be set for continuous operation or in one minute increments up to an hour. Permanently sealed ball bearing drive never needs lubrication. Heavy cast iron base in powder coated steel housing eliminates creeping under all but the most extreme conditions. Heavy duty motor moves sidearms through 4 arc. Aluminum side arms (ordered separately) are held in place with set screws and accommodate vessels up to 50 mm in diameter. Operates in temperatures from 4 C to 40 C and humidity conditions from 20 to 80% non-condensing enabling them to be used in incubators, warm rooms, environmental chambers and refrigerators. Optional top platform accessory 3589-5 accommodates up to eight 250 ml flasks and attaches directly to main shaft of shaker. Model 3589 is CSA certified.
