With the MSF, components are efficiently placed at high speeds utilizing 3D recognition/co-planarity in a single pass. The unique 3D recognition system can detect vertical bending of QFP pins, CSP and BGA ball presence and the position and height of minute solder bumps. Efficiencies are further enhanced using dual tables that minimize distance of head movement and dual 10-nozzle gantry heads that allow gang pickup. The MSF places components with 40-micron accuracy and 0.3mm lead pitch and 0.5mm ball pitch.
